Omni Hoverboard takes a super-simple approach to personal flight

Montreal’s Alexandru Duru first flew his electrical multirotor hoverboard again in 2015, and shortly set a Guinness World Record for distance. Now this levitating madman is working to commercialize it on the market, whereas performing stunt exhibits on the facet.

This hoverboard is awfully easy. A body, eight underslung rotors, a pair of snowboarding boots, and a hand throttle that, even six years after Duru’s wobbly first flight, remains to be a modified pair of spring-loaded pliers. “I imply, it’s just about all you want for the management,” Duru instructed DroneDJ’s Scott Simmie in a latest interview. “It’s the thrust stage.”
