Roy Giblin, 82, was positioned by drone pilots 18 hours after going lacking.
Rescue groups had been looking out land, air and sea for Mr Giblin, from Abergele in Conwy, when he was present in overgrown 4ft excessive grass close to the city’s railway station on 8 June.
Lead pilot Sgt Paul Terry of North Wales Police mentioned it was “very possible” the drone saved Mr Giblin’s life.

Mr Giblin’s granddaughter mentioned she had been making ready for the worst.
